Gallery Dress Hire Terms & Conditions

By booking a garment or accessory with Gallery Dress Hire (“we”, “our”, “us”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking & Payment

* Full payment is required to secure your booking.

* A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

* All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

2. Hire Period

* Our standard hire period is 4 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

* The hire period begins on the agreed collection or delivery date and ends on the agreed return date.

* Extended hire periods are available upon request and will incur additional charges.

3. Collection

* Free collection is available from Earlwood, NSW 2206 by appointment only.

* Customers must collect and return items during their allocated appointment time.

4. Australia-Wide Postage

* Express postage is available Australia-wide for an additional fee.

* We post using Australia Post Express where available.

* While we post items promptly, Gallery Dress Hire is not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post, weather events or other circumstances outside our control.

* Customers should allow sufficient delivery time when booking.

5. Returns

Local Pick-Up

Items must be returned by the agreed date and time.

Postal Returns

Customers must lodge their return parcel on the agreed return date using the provided packaging and instructions.

Failure to post the item on time may incur late fees.

6. Cleaning

Professional dry cleaning is included in every hire.

Customers must:

* Not wash garments.

* Not attempt stain removal.

* Return garments in the condition they were received (allowing for normal wear).

7. Damage

Customers are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear.

This includes but is not limited to:

* Permanent stains

* Tears

* Burn marks

* Broken zips

* Missing embellishments

* Missing belts or accessories

* Damage caused by pets, smoke or misuse

Where an item requires repair, cleaning beyond normal wear, or replacement, the customer will be responsible for the associated costs.

8. Loss or Non-Return

If an item is lost, stolen or cannot be returned, the customer agrees to pay the replacement value of the garment or accessory.

9. Late Returns

Late returns affect future bookings.

A late fee may apply for each day the item is overdue.

Where another customer’s booking is affected, additional charges may apply.

10. Cancellations

If you cancel your booking:

* More than 14 days before your booking: a credit note may be issued.

* Within 14 days of your booking: no refund will be provided.

* Same-day cancellations or cancellations after dispatch/collection are non-refundable.

Any credit note issued will be valid for the period specified by Gallery Dress Hire.

11. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of garment hire:

* Refunds are not available for change of mind.

* Refunds are not available if an item does not fit.

* Customers are encouraged to check sizing carefully before booking or arrange a try-on appointment where possible.

Refunds may only be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Sizing Disclaimer

Sizing varies between designers.

Gallery Dress Hire provides size guides and recommendations as a guide only. We cannot guarantee an exact fit.

13. Designer Bags

For luxury designer bag hires:

* Government-issued photo identification may be required.

* Additional verification may be requested.

* Bags must be returned in the same condition supplied.

14. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

* Wear the item responsibly.

* Keep garments away from fake tan, oils and harsh chemicals where possible.

* Avoid alterations.

* Return all original accessories, garment bags and packaging.

15. Photography

Gallery Dress Hire may repost customer images shared publicly or tagged on social media unless requested otherwise.

16. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is used only to process bookings, communicate with customers and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell customer information to third parties.

17. Limitation of Liability

Gallery Dress Hire is not liable for:

* Australia Post delays

* Event cancellations

* Weather events

* Customer sizing issues

* Indirect or consequential losses arising from a booking

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
